How a plyboard became a mattress! Morning Owl Mattress Topper rocks!!

My wife and I both suffer from intermittent backaches and consequently prefer medium to firm mattresses. Moving in with my parents in early 2020, we have spent the last year managing a newborn and a new place and making an uneasy peace with our traditional cotton mattress. Unfortunately, this compromise didn't end well. First, after we both got hit with the dreaded disease, we quickly realized just how badly we had missed good rest. Then, even more, unfortunately, the ensuing mattress search left our backs screaming and our pockets floating. There are also two barely-used queen-size mattresses sitting in our garage as a sordid reminder of those post-COVID months. Since then, we have been using a squished, hand-me-down coir mattress. Which has mushed down just enough to avoid suspicions about what it actually may be - a plyboard covered in foam! Anyway, one night, somewhere beyond my daughter's 2 am fit, I found Morning Owl. It seemed cool. Natural latex. 100 nights trial!. Though, having been burnt twice, we couldn't get ourselves to commit to the mattress despite the assurances. So instead, we have now owned the Hard (ILD 40) Morning Owl Natural Latex Topper for a little over two weeks. Both my wife and I cannot remember when either of us last slept this well. The 2-inches on top of our plyboard-disguised-as-a-mattress has done what 6-inches have failed to come close to. Key points: - The topper provides excellent support for both side sleepers (me) and back sleepers (my wife), making our pillows seem more effective somehow. - The latex doesn't smell at all – we napped on the mattress within 15 minutes of unpacking it! - The latex is unbelievably well ventilated. My back did not sweat. And reportedly, I even toss and turn less as the first comfortable position seems to stay that way through the night. - The edges hold well when I'm sitting on the edge. This has been toddler tested. - The top cover is soft and well stitched. Also, toddler tested. My wife and I have ended our search. We have deleted our excel files comparing mattress features. We have also deleted our saved bookmarks on mattresses we were going to try next. We intend to do a full durability test (~6 months), and if this thing holds, we have no doubt where our next mattress(es) will come from.

I purchased a bed and a topper. They are amazing and very comfortable. There is no smell of latex which is a great feeling and comfort. I had some issues with the size and had to reach out to the full team of morning owl who was very kind and patient with my request. As a buyer, I am not an easy one. Thanks for handling my all small queries and making the bed I always needed. There was a Lot to order, we were waiting for the pandemic to go.
